The role involves Contracts Management across a substantial portfolio of Power Generation and Engineering projects. This entails set up and management of contracts, commercial negotiation, claims management and dispute resolution.
Essential Requirements:
Educated to degree with professional Contracts qualifications or Chartered status
Contracts Management of a portfolio of projects, gained within Power, Process, Waste Management, Water, Pharmaceutical or Nuclear industries, within the UK
Strong Commercial acumen with experience of cost/ financial modelling and data analysis
An understanding of design and construction
Risk Management, Dispute Resolution and Arbitration (ARB)
Knowledge of various contract forms including IchemE, NEC, FIDIC and Bespoke etc.
An experienced leader and people manager
Full Driving License

For this reason, it is essential for the HR Director to have ‘hands on’ experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of either formulating a HR department from scratch or developing a newly formed department into well managed and well organised centre of HR excellence. Person Specification: A proven track record in Generalist HR roles, experience working with businesses in the MENA Region is ideal. Expert knowledge of HR best practice. A strategic thinker who is also able, willing and motivated to be “hands on” and work at the operational level. A strong communicator who is able to flex their style as appropriate to suit the audience and circumstances. Able to bring people “on the journey” with them.
